Logro Farms began with a small idea nearly 2 years ago. The idea was to find something founders Ryan and Jeremy could do that would be interesting, educational, and that would have life-changing implications for individuals and their community.

After experimenting with various other side-projects, some of which were more successful than others, Ryan and Jeremy found an idea that was truly inspiring and that offered immeasurable benefits. They discovered mushrooms.IMG_4391

Learning about how mushrooms grew and the implications fungi have for the benefit of mankind drove the two friends forward into the unknown and is what ultimately led to the creation of what has already become a successful endeavor – Logro Farms. Not only has Logro become much more than an idea, they’ve formed unique relationships with a variety of other businesses and organizations with in their immediate community. The two closest business relationships that form a sort of symbiosis in their operations are Stanley’s Pizza and Jester King’s Brewery, both of which call a hundred acre farm outside of Dripping Springs, TX their home.

When Logro first began making their trademark grow at home mushroom kits, it was only Ryan and Jeremy conducting all of the research, the planning, and fabrication of much of the facilities and processes. Over the course of year and a half they’ve been able to receive generous volunteer work from many individuals that have bought into what Logro Farms is really all about – sustainably grown food that’s good for body and mind.

Logro Farms’ production of their famous home oyster mushroom kit continues to evolve even as they introduce newer products to the line, including their mini mushroom kit and their newest addition – the grow at home wheatgrass kit.

What’s next on the horizon for Logro Farms and its founders? They sky is the limit is far as they’re concerned. Production is still carried out manually and stands around 1200 units per month, but the friends have revealed their plans for upgrading their systems, which would effectively allow them to produce 1200 units every hour! That’s a lot of mushrooms and we can’t wait.
