Grow-at-home Oyster Mushroom Kit

What are the instructions for my Grow-at-home Oyster Mushroom Kit?

Instructions
  1. Place your Grow-at-home Oyster Mushroom Kit indoors in an upright position and away from direct sunlight or air drafts.
  2. Remove one front panel from the box and cut a 2×3 inch ‘+’ in the bag. Leave the bag resting on the substrate to help your kit star moist and prevent it from drying out.
  3. Use the included mister to spray the opening 2-3 times per day with filtered water. For best results, make sure the substrate beneath the bag is moist after watering.
  4. Continue watering 2-3 times daily until the mushrooms are fully grown. Growth period takes approximately 1-2 weeks.
  5. Harvest when the edges of the mushroom caps begin to turn upwards.

Once harvested, you can soak the bag in water overnight and repeat steps 1-5 to grow a second cluster of oyster mushrooms.

How long can I store my Grow-at-home Oyster Mushroom Kit?

Our mushroom kits contain a living culture of oyster mushrooms. They have a shelf life of 90 days at room temperature and can be stored for up to 6 months if placed in the refrigerator.

What is the expected yield of my Grow-at-home Oyster Mushroom Kit?

Each Grow-at-home Oyster Mushroom Kit will grow up to 1.5 pounds of mushrooms over the life of the kit with your first harvest ready in less than 2 weeks.

What should I do when I'm done growing my Grow-at-home Oyster Mushroom Kit?

We recommend composting the remaining organic material and recycling the cardboard box and the plastic bag that comes in your kit.
